A unique blend of Montessori independence and Finnish child-centred learning, designed for entrepreneurs entering the education sector.

Open Your Own Preschool.

A complete preschool model combining Montessori principles and Finnish pedagogy, designed for first-time school owners and educational entrepreneurs.

Designed to launch in months, not years. Easy to implement, easy to teach, and built to resonate with parents who value internationally recognised approaches to early childhood education.

Finntessori was built for people who are starting from zero, with a passion for education.

Most people who want to open a preschool never do.

Not because they lack passion. Because they hit the same wall: no curriculum, no brand, no classroom design, no teacher training system, no idea what equipment to buy or where to find it.

Building from scratch takes years and costs more than it should. Buying into a traditional international franchise means large premises, substantial capital and experience you don't have yet.

There is a third option.

Two of the world's most respected early years approaches. One practical model.

Finntessori combines two respected approaches to early childhood education.

Montessori

gives children independence, concentration and hands-on exploration through prepared environments and child-led learning. It is one of the most recognised names in early childhood education globally, with strong parent demand across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe.

Finnish Education

brings play-based learning, wellbeing, creativity and social development. Finland's education system is consistently ranked among the world's best and carries significant credibility with urban, internationally-minded parents.

Most operators choose one or the other. Finntessori combines both into a single classroom model that is practical to run, easy to teach and compelling to market.

Everything you need to open. Nothing you have to figure out yourself.

Your Brand Identity

A complete, distinctive identity. Name, logo, colour system, signage and classroom aesthetic. Professionally designed. Ready to use on day one.

Your Curriculum

A hybrid Montessori-Finnish curriculum developed by experienced early years educators. Age-appropriate, mixed-age classroom ready, and structured for teachers who have not come from a Montessori background.

Your Weekly Plans

Fully detailed weekly plans your lead teacher can follow from the first day of term. No curriculum writing. No planning from scratch.

Your Teacher Training

Online training academy included at no additional cost, permanently. Train your opening team. Onboard replacements. Maintain quality as your school grows without paying per head.

Your Classrooms

Floorplans, furniture specifications, equipment lists and supplier connections. We tell you exactly what to buy, how to configure the space and where to source it affordably. Minimum viable footprint from 3m² per child.

Your Marketing

Social media templates, parent communication materials and a school launch toolkit. Open without hiring a designer or an agency.

Your Software, Parent & Teacher Apps

AI-assisted lesson planning, child development tracking, observation tools and parent communication apps. The academic administration of your school, simplified.

Your Support

Backed by the team behind Kipinä, an international early years group that has been operating schools across 12 countries for 13 years. You are not the first person we have helped open a school. You will not be navigating this alone.

The Finntessori Design Concept

Finntessori classrooms are warm, low-stimulation environments designed around the Montessori prepared environment principle, adapted for smaller footprints and lower-cost fit-outs. Natural materials, defined activity zones, child-height everything.

We provide the design brief, furniture specification and supplier list. You implement it locally. Most operators complete the fit-out within 6 to 10 weeks.

Who is this for

Finntessori is built for people who are starting from zero

You do not need to have worked in education.

Finntessori was designed specifically for people who are starting from zero.

THE SITUATION

No background in education. A budget of $95,000 USD. A vacant retail unit in a residential district with strong family foot traffic. A clear gap in the local market — Casablanca parents are underserved by the French curriculum nurseries dominating the city, with nothing offering a Montessori-Finnish alternative at this price point.

FAQ

Do I need prior experience in education?

No. Finntessori is designed for first-time operators. The curriculum, training and setup guidance assume no prior ECE background.

What size space do I need?

A minimum of 3m² of child-accessible space subject always to minimums and compliance with local authorities. We work with existing nurseries, converted residential and commercial spaces and new builds. Our setup guidance covers configuration for a range of footprints.

What types of properties are suitable?

Subject always to local regulations - properties that may be suitable for Finntessori include; renovated residential or commercial buildings, retail spaces or shop lots, converted spaces such as gyms or showrooms, rooms within existing schools, dedicated spaces in business parks or office towers, ground or mezzanine floors of office buildings.

How will I know where to buy furniture?

We will provide you with a full list of all furniture, learning materials and toys you need based on the total square metres of your school and the number of classrooms (and age groups). We have identified several providers who are affordable and offer good quality - we will connect you directly. However, you are free to use our list and source locally or independently.

How will I manage the interior design?

We provide you with reference concept drawings and designs including room floorplans and colour guides for walls and paint.

What languages is the curriculum available in?

Currently in English. Weekly plans are structured to allow local language integration throughout. For larger school groups we may provide all material in your local language.

How many children do I need to be viable?

A Finntessori school is financially viable from approximately 50% of enrolled children. The major influence on this is annual rent. We recommend that annual rental should ideally be less than 15% of revenue and only in exceptional location up to 20%. Your information pack includes indicative financial projections based on your market and proposed fees.

Who handles local education licensing?

We will provide you with supporting academic and curricular materials for your local applications. You manage the process and are welcome to use local consultants if you wish.

Do I need to be local to get support?

No. All training is delivered online. Setup guidance, curriculum access and software are provided remotely. Onsite visits are available at additional cost where requested.

How long is my license for?

3 years.

What happens at licence renewal?

Licences run for 3 years with a renewal process at the end of the term. For schools in good standing there is no renewal fee. Ongoing  student fees continue based on enrolment.

What does it cost?

Finntessori is designed with startup economics in mind. Entry costs are significantly lower than traditional international preschool franchise models.
